Axilla Deodorant paste – Black Chicken remedies

For Christmas this year I was given by a dear friend of mine Emma (Owner of Athol, wellness & lifestyle boutique), a little pot of gold! Or you could call it by its name – Axilla Deodorant paste.

Axilla deodorant paste

I’d never heard of Black Chicken remedies until I’d got this gift, and was very excited to try ‘deodorant paste’ as I’d not done before. I don’t use deodorant as such, but the Crystal blocks. This works well for me and I wasn’t looking to change, but I was still intrigued!

Black Chicken remedies is an Australian company that uses 100% natural ingredients. This brand was born from the concern that we apply so many products that contain chemicals to our skin, many of which are damaging, and we are clogging our pores with synthetic fragrances. Our skin is the largest organ of our body and absorbs what ever we put onto it, our body then absorbs what ever isĀ in the skin! Doesn’t take long to work this one out does it…

The first day I used the Axilla deodorant paste, it wasn’t too hot and performed very well – no nasty smells coming from my vicinity! The second day was the test as it was 32C – I’m happy to report I still have friends and family! I actually had a bit of faith in this product before I even tried it. I think I’d have been far more shocked at it working, if I didn’t already use a crystal as a deodorant, but knowing nature can work I guess I was half expecting/hoping it would!

Ingredients – (* Certified Organic ingredients)

  • Shea Butter* – anti-inflammatory and soothing on the skin
  • Coconut oil* – antibacterial
  • Camellia Tea oil* – soothes skin irritations
  • Sodium Bicarbonate – neutralises odour
  • Arrowroot – absorbs wetness

To apply you take a pea sized pinch and rub it into your armpit until it’s disappeared – I used it after shaving and was totally fine, however if you have sensitive skin you might want to wait a bit before applying.

I will be keeping a pot of Axilla deodorant paste in my cupboard from now on! I’m not doing away with my crystal, but just mixing it up a bit – Keeping those pits on their toes!
